Young Harris College Athletics

Nicole Smith, a native of Ball Ground, Georgia, ran cross country for Young Harris College from 2012 to 2015 and became the program’s first-ever four-time All-PBC selection. She earned All-Conference honors all four years of her career, was named PBC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week twice, and recorded three individual meet victories. In her senior season, Smith was named to the USTFCCCA All-Southeast Region Team after posting five top-20 finishes, including two inside the top 10. She also earned spots on the All-PBC Sportsmanship Team in 2014 and 2015. Academically, Smith was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Division II Track & Field/Cross Country Team in 2015 and 2016 and earned All-America Second Team honors in 2012. She was the PBC Co-Runner of the Year as a freshman in 2012 and received the YHC Life in the Balance Award as a senior in 2015. Smith was a three-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar and a member of the PBC All-Academic Team. She also earned the PBC Elite 15 Award as a sophomore and is a member of both the Dorcas Society and Alpha Chi Honor Society.
