GENERAL INFORMATION
The Young Harris College Sports Communications office is responsible for providing accurate and timely information to a variety of customers, including media, student-athletes, coaches and fans. The Sports Communications office overseas the media relations and publicity efforts for 15 varsity sports in addition to representing the Young Harris College athletics department in other areas. The general duties of the sports information staff include writing the content for Young Harris College's official athletics web site,
http://www.yhcathletics.com; working with members of local, regional and national media outlets that cover Mountain Lions athletics; compiling and archiving statistics; and writing game stories and other press releases for all varsity sports.

Location
The Sports Communications Office is located inside the YHC Athletics Office, located on the Young Harris College campus.
Interviews
All interviews with Young Harris College student-athletes and coaches should be scheduled through the Sports Communications office. The best time to arrange interviews with student-athletes is in the afternoons on weekdays (when not interfering with student-athletes' class schedules). Coaches are generally most available in the mornings. Interviews at the conclusion of all home events will be held after a brief cooling-off period.
