Jaclyn Kernohan played women’s lacrosse for the Mountain Lions from 2013 to 2016, finishing her career with 123 goals and 38 assists for 161 points. She ranks fourth in the YHC NCAA DII record books in goals, ground balls (130), and caused turnovers (61), fifth in points, and ninth in assists. During her senior season—the program’s first year in the Gulf South Conference—Kernohan earned All-GSC honors and was named GSC Offensive Player of the Week once. She played a major role in transforming the women’s lacrosse program, helping the team go from just two total wins in her first two seasons to capturing both the GSC regular-season and tournament titles. After graduating, Jaclyn continued to contribute to the program as an assistant women’s lacrosse coach at YHC.
