SUMTER, S.C. | The Young Harris College men's and women's tennis teams opened up their respective seasons at the ITA Regional Championships presented by Oracle last weekend (Sept. 30-Oct. 3) at the Palmetto Tennis Center.

The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top men's and women's players across the country. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, junior and community colleges compete across 85 ITA Regional Championships around the country.

"This tournament was great for our men and women to see where they stand against some of the best competition in the country," said Young Harris men's tennis coach Barrett Elkins.  "We had some great wins on both sides, and I believe some of the losses will really help us in the long run.  I was proud of our team and I look forward to seeing our results in the spring season."
