YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Young Harris College picked up a 6-3 non-conference men's tennis victory over Dalton State College Wednesday (March 18) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Mountain Lions won their fourth consecutive match as they improved to 8-4 while the Roadrunners fell to 7-4. Young Harris returns to action Saturday (March 21) when they travel to Belmont, North Carolina, for a 1 p.m. non-conference match against Belmont Abbey College.
Young Harris took a 3-0 lead after doubles as the No. 3 team of Daniel Tiboldi and Brecht Vangrinsven fought off three match points and won the last five points of the tiebreaker for the 9-8 (8-6) victory over Joe Bray and Lucas de Souza. Daniel Tiboldi and Federico Terreni won their singles matches to clinch the match for the Mountain Lions.
