YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College Baseball junior catcher Jack Enrico has been named a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) First Team All-American following a sensational 2026 season that helped lead the Mountain Lions to a Conference Carolinas Championship victory and an appearance in the NCAA Southeast Regional title game.
With Enrico's selection, Mountain Lions head coach Stephen Waggener has now guided two All-Americans during his eight seasons in the Enchanted Valley. Enrico becomes the first Young Harris College Baseball player to earn NCBWA All-American honors in five years, joining Tucker Greer (2021) as the only Mountain Lions to receive the prestigious recognition during that span.
The junior catcher turned in one of the top offensive seasons in the Southeast Region, finishing the year with a .399 batting average, 85 hits, 52 runs scored, 61 RBI, 21 doubles, eight home runs, and 36 walks. Enrico also provided tremendous consistency defensively behind the plate, totaling 328 putouts and 26 assists while committing just one error for a .997 fielding percentage.
Enrico played a major role in Young Harris' historic postseason run during the 2026 campaign. The Mountain Lions captured the Conference Carolinas Championship with a 13-0 run-rule victory over North Greenville in the title game before advancing to the NCAA Southeast Regional championship game.
The NCBWA All-America honor adds to an already decorated season for Enrico, who established himself as one of the premier catchers in NCAA Division II Baseball while helping guide the Mountain Lions to one of the most successful seasons in program history.
