YOUNG HARRIS, GA| The Young Harris Baseball team has had eight players named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference Baseball Team. This includes three on the first team, five on the second team, and one gold glover. Young Harris enters the Conference Carolinas Tournament with a 35-15 record and are poised to make a run for the Conference Carolinas Championship.
Jack Enrico has been named first-team Conference Carolinas catcher. This season Enrico slashed a .410 average with a 1.101 OPS while adding 19 doubles, 5 home runs and 52 RBI while flashing stellar defense behind the plate. Kade Smallwood joined the first team as the first baseman. This season Smallwood was dominant at the plate, hitting .374 with 19 home runs and 13 doubles while tied for the NCAA D2 lead with 89 RBI. Carlos Martans was the third Mountain Lion named to the first team as the shortstop. On the season, Martans hit for a .380 average while adding 3 home runs, 15 doubles and 43 RBI while providing strong defense.
Drew Bray earned All-Conference Second Team and Gold Glove honors as the third baseman. On the year, Bray hit for a .395 average while adding 9 home runs, 16 doubles and 53 RBI. Bray also flashed a .948 fielding percentage with 31 putouts to earn Gold Glove honors. Keypher Contreras earned second-team honors following an outstanding year at the plate. Contreras hit .345 on the year with 18 home runs and 55 RBI. Jackson Morgan earned second-team honors after a breakout season. Morgan hit .372 on the year with 14 home runs and 19 doubles while being the everyday centerfielder for YH. Cole Molina earned second-team honors after being the ace for the Mountain Lions this season. Molina made 14 starts, with a 6-1 record on the year and recorded a 5.25 ERA with 50 strikeouts and two complete games. Trey Griffin earned second-team relief pitcher honors after a stellar season on the bump. Griffin made 26 appearances on the year and recorded four saves with 37 strikeouts over 42 innings pitched.
