Young Harris Sets Multiple Records in 105-21 Dominant Win!

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Saturday afternoon (Dec. 13) belonged to the Mountain Lions as Young Harris Women's Basketball put together one of the most dominant performances in program history, overwhelming Toccoa Falls College 105–21. From the opening tip, the Mountain Lions set the tone with relentless defense and efficient scoring, building a lead that never wavered. Annalise Malone starred as Player of the Match, pouring in 29 points on 11-of-20 shooting, including seven three-pointers, while grabbing eight rebounds and adding three assists.

In similar fashion, the Mountain Lions Women's Basketball program produced a mind-boggling performance that set multiple team single-game records, including most points scored in a single game, fewest points surrendered, and most field goals made with 42. The ladies also tied team records for most three-pointers made and most assists in a game. Both Young Harris College basketball programs are firing on all cylinders, so be sure to come out and cheer on our Mountain Lions!

 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

·       Young Harris shot efficiently all game, including 71.4 percent from the field in the first quarter.

·       Annalise Malone led all scorers with 29 points, seven three-pointers, and eight rebounds.

·       Rhiannon Saller added 13 points, seven rebounds, while Joy Tchamabe recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

·       Katia Nekic contributed 12 points, including four three-pointers, helping extend the Mountain Lions' lead.

·       Telma Balague scored 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, adding 4 rebounds and 4 steals to help extend the Mountain Lions' lead.

·       Natalie Jojola contributed 8 points, including 2-of-3 from three-point range, while pulling down 4 rebounds and dishing 3 assists.

·       Chassidy Fedd was perfect from the field, scoring 6 points and grabbing 5 assists with a steal and an assist.

·       Hannah Dunn added 6 points on 3-of-5 shooting and chipped in 2 offensive rebounds.

·       Kamryn Bates scored 4 points while contributing 5 rebounds and 6 assists, providing steady support across the court.

·       Jolie Wingfield knocked down 3 points and collected 2 rebounds in limited minutes off the bench.

·       The team's depth was on display, with multiple players adding points, rebounds, and assists while holding Toccoa Falls to just 21 points.
