YOUNG HARRIS, GA| Young Harris College has announced the hiring of Helen Tau as Assistant Coach for the Women's Basketball program. Tau joins the Mountain Lions after most recently serving as an assistant coach at Yale University, bringing a wealth of experience in recruiting, scouting, and player development.

A native of Lake Jackson, Texas, Tau has built an impressive coaching resume across several Division I institutions. She expressed her enthusiasm for joining the program, stating:

"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Young Harris Women's Basketball program as an assistant coach. Coach Huffman has done an amazing job with the program, and I am excited to continue building the vision she has for Young Harris. I am passionate about mentoring young women, developing competitors, and investing in the community. I look forward to contributing to all facets of the program and joining the Mountain Lion family. I can't wait to get started!"

Tau's basketball journey began as a student-athlete at the University of Texas at Austin before transitioning into coaching as a graduate assistant with the Longhorns. She later served as Director of Video Operations at Georgetown University, where she specialized in film breakdown and scouting report preparation. Tau went on to become Director of Basketball Operations at Princeton University before advancing to assistant coaching roles at Colgate University and Yale University.

Head Coach Lindsey Huffman expressed her excitement about the addition to the coaching staff.

"I'm very excited to have Helen join our staff and program. Helen brings extensive recruiting and player development experience from the Division I level. She has an impressive energy and work ethic, which I know will impact our team immediately! We are very excited to welcome Helen to The Enchanted Valley."

Tau's extensive experience and passion for developing student-athletes will be valuable assets as she helps lead the next chapter of Young Harris Women's Basketball. The program looks forward to the impact she will make both on and off the court.
