Conference Carolinas Names Bates, Malone to All-Conference First Team

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College women's basketball standouts Kamryn Bates and Annalise Malone have been named to the 2025-26 Conference Carolinas All-Conference First Team, highlighting a strong season for the Mountain Lions.

Bates, a senior guard from Marietta, Georgia, served as one of the team's primary playmakers and offensive leaders throughout the season. She averaged 14.8 points, 3.5 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game while starting 29 contests for Young Harris.

Bates scored in double figures in 24 games this season and recorded multiple 20-point performances, including a season-high 26 points against both Shorter and King. She also showcased her playmaking ability with a nine-assist performance at Southern Wesleyan and grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds against Emmanuel. Bates finished the season with 430 points, 102 assists, 139 rebounds and 37 steals.

Malone, a senior forward from Fayetteville, Tennessee, continued to be a dominant presence inside for the Mountain Lions. She averaged 13.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while starting every game during the season.

Malone recorded 10 double-digit rebounding performances, including a season-high 23 rebounds at King. She scored in double figures 18 times throughout the year, highlighted by a season-high 29-point performance against Toccoa Falls and a 26-point outing against Johnson. Malone finished the season with 408 points, 247 rebounds, 76 assists, 23 steals and 11 blocks.

The selections mark another major milestone for the Mountain Lions as Bates and Malone were recognized among the top players in Conference Carolinas following the 2025-26 season.
