GREENVILLE, S.C. | The Mountain Lions have been on a tear defensively this season, ranking second in the country (DII) in field goal percentage defense. Parehuia Delamere made sure the Mountain Lions stayed near the top this past week, as the Mountain Lions won both games, surrendering just 90 points in two Conference Carolinas matchups. Young Harris defeated Emmanuel 67-54 on the road and Erskine College 68-36 in front of the home crowd at The Harp Recreation and Commencement Center. 

During the win on the road in Franklin Springs, Georgia, YHC held the Lions to 54 points. A key reason for that was Agent P., a.k.a. Parehuia Delamere; Agent P. recorded nine rebounds (eight defensively), four steals, three assists, and eight points on the other end. The Mountain Lions swiftly took down the Lions of Emmanuel, 67-54. 

On Saturday (Dec. 7) afternoon, the Flying Fleet from Erskine College ventured over to the not so friendly confines of The Harp to face the Mountain Lions of Young Harris. The Mountain Lions strung together a mind-boggling defensive performance, holding Erskine College to 3-26 on three-point attempts. Delamere was again a major contributor, coming down with 11 boards, swiping three more steals, recording a blocked shot, and adding six points offensively. The Mountain Lions took down conference opponent Erskine by a score of 68-36 to continue their impressive start to the season. 

The Mountain Lions sit at 6-3 overall and 3-1 in Conference Carolinas play. Throughout the two conference victories this past week, Agent P. recorded 20 rebounds, seven steals, one blocked shot, three assists, and 14 points.
