YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Mackenzie Johnson became the program's allt-time leading rebounder and 
Trinity Edwards scored 17 points as the Young Harris College women's basketball team defeated the University of North Georgia 59-45 in a Peach Belt Conference game Wednesday (Feb. 15) evening at the Harp Recreation & Commencement Center.
The Mountain Lions, who swept the regular-season series with North Georgia for the first time since 2014, improved to 11-12 overall and to 7-8 in the PBC, while UNG fell to 16-8 and 8-7. Young Harris travels to Aiken, South Carolina, Saturday (Feb. 18) for a 1:30 p.m. PBC contest against the University of South Carolina-Aiken.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
	- Johnson, who scored 12 points, grabbed 21 rebounds as she became the program's all-time rebounder with 770, surpassing YHC Athletics Hall of Famer Ladondra Johnson's total of 758.
- Dustie Obah also finished in double figures for the Mountian Lions with 13.
- YHC jumped out of the gate as they took a 13-2 led on an Obah layup with 5:05 left in the first quarter.
- The Mountain Lions led 25-16 at the half, but the Nighthawks used a 12-4 run to get within a point at 29-28 on a Kayla Massop layup with 5:20 remaining in the third quarter.
- However, the Mountain Lions thwarted the North Georgia rally by scoring 13 unanswered points to end the third quarter as YHC opened up a  42-28 lead after Obah hit two free throws.
- YHC took its largest lead - 18 points (48-30) - after a JaMari Frederick layup with 7:37 left in the game. The closest UNG would get the remainder of the way would be 13 points.
- The Mountain Lions held North Georgia to 28.8 percent shooting (17-of-59) from the floor.
- YHC outrebounded UNG 47-38.
