Greer adds ABCA All-Region honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. | Young Harris College senior outfielder Tucker Greer has another postseason honors.

Greer, who is senior outfielder from Paris, Kentucky, was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association's NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region first team..

  • Started all 41 games for the Mountain Lions, hitting .413 with 14 doubles, 20 home runs, 62 RBI, a .901 slugging percentage and a .488 on-base percentage.
  • Named to the All-Peach Belt Conference first team in 2021.
  • Became the first Young Harris baseball player to win any of the PBC's major postseason awards when he was named the league's Player of the Year in 2021.
  • Ranked fourth in NCAA Division II in home runs, sixth in RBI, seventh in runs scored (60), eighth in slugging percentage, and 15th in total hits (71).
  • Led or tied for the lead in the PBC in RBI, runs scored, and slugging percentage. He was second in triples (5) and home runs, third in on-base percentage and hits, and sixth in doubles.
  • Twice named the PBC Player of the Week and the National Hitter of the Week, he had 20 games with two or more hits, started the season with a 26-game hitting streak and was held without a hit only four times in 41 games.
  • Greer has been named to both the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Division II Conference Commissioner Association All-Southeast Region first teams.
  • Greer was also named to the NCWBA All-America first team.
