MONTEVALLO, Ala. | Young Harris College men's cross country runners claimed the top two spots at the Falcon Classic Saturday (Sept. 17) morning.
The Mountain Lions finished in ninth place as team with 218 points while Lee University won the meet with 35 points.

Tim Asis won his second consecutive race and held off teammate
Mathew Biwott in the process on the 8K layout on the Montevallo Cross Country Course that will host the NCAA DIvision II Southeast Regional Championship in November. The reigning Peach Belt Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week outran the lead cart at one point in the race and shaved 37 seconds off his winning time at the Bobcat Invitational to claim the Falcon Classic with a career-best time of 24:15.80. Biwott, who ran at last year's NCAA Division II National Championship, set his personal best of 24:46.90 to come in second place. Biwott moved up five positions in the final mile of the race.
Jeremy Webb finished in 73rd place for Young Harris with a time of 27:53.57 while
Abraham Asis finished in 107th place at 29:26.23 and
Raul Ramirez came in 115th with a time of 29:41.75.
The Mountain Lions return to competition in two weeks when they travel to Oxford, Alabama, on Oct. 1 for the JSU Foothills Invitational at 8:30 a.m. Central time.
