KERNERSVILLE, NC| The Mountain Lions men's and women's cross country teams competed Friday (Oct. 3) at the Spartan Classic. Both teams had strong showings with the men's team posting an impressive second place finish and the women's team coming in sixth place out of fourteen teams. 

Men's Results (8K): 

Young Harris earned a second place finish out of twelve teams. 

• Wyatt Whipp (Jr) had an impressive top five showing, finishing fourth overall with a time of 26:34.2. 

• Noah Mason (Sr) earned a top ten finish, coming in 10th place with a time of 26:59.2. 

• Dylan Stone (Fr) finished in 15th place with a time of 27:16.8. 

• Matthew Honeycutt (Sr) finished in 18th place with a time of 27:39.7. 

• Aidan Vrazel (Fr) finished just behind in 19th place with a time of 27:39.8. 

• Nathaniel Harris (Fr) finished in 20th place with a time of 27:41.8. 

• Sam Lindley (Fr) came in 22nd place with a time of 27:46.2. 

• Gabe Pattacini (So) placed 25th with a time of 27:57.8. 

• Noah Scheuer (So) finished 41st with a time of 28:49.7. 

• Brennan Mullis (Fr) placed 42nd with a time of 28:54.3. 

• Christopher Le (Fr) finished 56th with a time of 29:28.9. 

• Luke Moody (Fr) finished 71st with a time of 30:16.5. 

• Nick Alonso (Fr) placed 75th with a time of 30:30. 

Women's Results (5K): 

Young Harris placed sixth out of fourteen teams. 

• Brynley Walraven (So) led the Mountain Lions, finishing in 29th place with a time of 20:41.2. 

• Lilian Arnold (Fr) finished in 36th place with a time of 21:32.3. 

• Rylie Cheek (Fr) finished 43rd with a time of 21:58.5. 

• Victoria Heeim (Fr) came in 49th place with a time of 22:16.1. 

• Caitlyn Thaman (Fr) finished 51st with a time of 22:20.2. 

• Piper Marsingill (Jr) placed 60th with a time of 22:54.8.
