YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's tennis team defeated Clayton State University 7-2 in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Sunday (April 10) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
 
The Mountain Lions improved to 12-6 overall and to 5-5 in the Peach Belt with the win in their home finale. The Lakers fell to 5-12 and 2-8.
 
Young Harris will face No. 10 Flagler College in a PBC match Saturday (April 16) at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Tennis Center in Florence, South Carolina. The earlier match against the Saints at Young Harris was washed out due to rain.
 
The Clayton State match was the final home game for YHC seniors Carolina Hernandez and Diana DiMarco, who each picked up singles wins for the Mountain Lions.
