MOUNT BERRY, Ga. | The 1-2 duo of
Tim Asis and
Mathew Biwott helped the Young Harris College men's cross country team to a sixth-place finish Saturday (Oct. 15) morning at the Berry Invitational.
Young Harris finished the race with 183 points. The University of South won the 19-team event with 56.
Tim Asis beat out 188 other runners to pick up his fourth win in four tries this season as he completed the 8K run on the Berry College Clara Bowl Cross Country Course in a time of 24:50.80. For the third consecutive race, Biwott finished as runner up with a time of 25:07.03.Â
Abraham Asis had his best run of the season at 27:49.98 and came in 58th place, while
Jeremy Webb was 62nd with an effort of 27:55.26.
Raul Ramirez finished in 121st place with a time of 30:16.92, while
Matthew Olle came in 175th with an effort of 36:26.57.
Young Harris returns to action Saturday (Oct. 22) when they travel to Milledgeville, Georgia, for the Peach Belt Conference Championship. The 8K race starts at 9 a.m.
