WINGATE, N.C. | The Young Harris College men's cross country team finished in 10th place at the Bulldog Stampede hosted by Wingate University Saturday (Sept. 26) morning.

The Mountain Lions posted a 10th-place finish out of 19 teams with 258 points. The University of Mount Olive captured the meet with 50 points. The meet was contest on the same course that will host the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship in early November,

Mathew Biwott paced the Mountain Lions with his fourth-place 8k time of 26:02.21, 20 seconds behind the winner of the race – Alex Griggs of Mars Hill University (25:42.70).
Jeremy Webb came in 38th place with a time of 27:43.15, one-hundredth of a second ahead of teammate
Abraham Asis (27:43.16).
Raul Ramirez came in 82nd place at 28:54.84 while
Harrison Orr had a personal best time of 29:39.71 in 109th place and was followed by
Cody Decker (114th, 29:47.38),
Feybian Matthews (155th, personal best 31:48.52),
Edwin Mejia (156th, 31:55.00), and
Matthew Olle (174th, 34:21.71).

Young Harris will return to action Oct. 10 when they compete in the D2 Georgia Collegiate Championship in Milledgeville, Georgia, at 8 a.m.Â
