GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Behind
Mathew Biwott's top-10 effort, the Young Harris College men's cross country team comes in seventh place at the University of North Georgia Invitational Saturday (Sept. 19) morning.
The Mountain Lions posted a seventh-place finish out of 16 teams with 220 points. Dalton State College captured the men's event with 42 points.
Biwott led the Mountain Lions in the 8K run with a 10th-place time of 26:44.0 while
Abraham Asis came in 32nd with a 27:42.1 time.
Jeremy Webb came in 53rd place with a time of 28:48.1.
Harrison Orr was next for Young Harris in 90th place with a time of 30:50.0 and was followed by
Raul Ramirez (91st, 30:54.3),
Feybian Matthews (104th, 32:06.2) and
Edwin Mejia (116th, 32:48.2).
The Mountain Lions will get their first look at the site of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals next Saturday (Sept. 26) when they travel to Wingate, North Carolina, to take part in the Bulldog Stampede hosted by Wingate University.
