MOUNT BERRY, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's cross country team finished in third place at the Berry Invitational Saturday (Oct. 17) morning.
The Mountain Lions, who are ranked No. 9 in the USTFCCCA Division II Southeast Regional rankings, finished in third place out of 13 teams in the meet with 122 points while Berry College won the race with 76 points.
Young Harris had three runners finish in the top 20 in the 8K race on the Clara Bowl Course.
Mathew Biwott finished in third place with a time of 25:56.17 while
Abraham Asis recorded a personal best time of 26:36.94 and came in 13th place.
Jeremy Webb finished in 15th with a time of 26:42.95, also a personal best.
Cody Decker came in 50th place with a time of 28:19.03 and was followed by
Raul Ramirez (68th, 28:55.69),
Harrison Orr (103rd, 30:20.33),
Feybian Matthews (113th, 30:52.23),
Edwin Mejia (126th, 31:52.43),
Matthew Olle (136th, 33:11.08).
The Mountain Lions will return to action next Saturday (Oct, 24) when they compete in the 2015 Peach Belt Conference Championship in Gainesville, Georgia.
