YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions took on Alabama Huntsville in a non-conference matchup, battling through four quarters of play. Despite a determined effort, Young Harris fell to the Chargers 20-9, moving to 8-4 on the season while Alabama Huntsville improved to 8-7.
Young Harris showed early fight, matching Alabama Huntsville's intensity and working to control possession. The Mountain Lions found opportunities through steady ball movement, with multiple players contributing on the offensive end. Alabama Huntsville, however, applied consistent pressure and capitalized on scoring chances throughout the contest.
The Mountain Lions continued to compete across all four quarters, finishing with 22 total shots and 15 on goal. Young Harris controlled the draw circle, winning 18 draw controls compared to Alabama Huntsville's 12, creating additional opportunities throughout the game.
Leading the way offensively for the Mountain Lions was Riley Parker, who recorded three points off two goals and one assist. Mary Troyer also tallied three points with one goal and two assists. Addison Heiser added two goals, while Sydney Craig contributed a goal and an assist.
Defensively, Young Harris collected 17 ground balls and remained active in forcing contested possessions. In goal, McKenna Graf recorded nine saves over 45 minutes of play, while Alyssa Rosenfeld added five saves in 15 minutes of action.
Alabama Huntsville was led by Corinne Baker, who posted a game high seven goals. Olivia Rewers added four goals, while Ava Fudjinski contributed three goals in the Chargers' effort.
