TIGERVILLE, S.C. | The Young Harris College women's lacrosse team remained unbeaten in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday, defeating North Greenville 11-7 on the road following a lengthy lightning delay after the third quarter. The Mountain Lions improve to 6-3 overall and 4-0 in conference action.
Young Harris came out firing, building a 4-0 lead in the opening quarter behind a fast-paced offensive attack. The Mountain Lions extended their advantage to 7-2 by halftime, highlighted by goals from Riley Parker, Addison Heiser, and Sydney Craig.
After a weather delay halted play following the third quarter, Young Harris regrouped and held off a fourth-quarter push from North Greenville. The Crusaders cut the deficit to 10-7, but the Mountain Lions answered immediately with a Riley Parker goal to seal the 11-7 victory.
Parker (POTG) led the way with four goals and one assist, while Craig and Heiser each added three goals. Carter Stamps also contributed a goal, and Mary Troyer paced the offense with two assists.
