YH Men’s Tennis Falls 3-4 in Conference Carolinas Opener at North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. | The Young Harris College Men's Tennis team opened Conference Carolinas play with a tightly contested 4-3 loss at North Greenville on Saturday afternoon.

The Mountain Lions split singles courts evenly after dropping the doubles point, pushing the match to the final courts before the Trailblazers secured the deciding result.

Match: North Greenville 4, Young Harris 3

Young Harris earned a doubles victory at No. 2, as Noah Pawirodirjo and Nills Vercruyssen claimed a 6-2 win. However, North Greenville secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and three to take the early 1-0 advantage.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

Noah Pawirodirjo earned a straight-set win at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-3).

Guillem Busquets Brau secured a straight-set victory at No. 3 singles (6-3, 6-3).

Nills Vercruyssen battled through a three-set match to win at No. 6 singles (6-4, 6-7, 7-6).

Samuel Guzon forced a deciding third set at No. 2 singles before falling (1-6, 6-3, 3-6).

Greyson Williams fell in straight sets at No. 4 singles (4-6, 3-6).

Noah Torrealba Auerbach dropped a competitive match at No. 5 singles (1-6, 5-7).
