TIGERVILLE, SC. | The Young Harris College Mountain Lions delivered a poised fourth-quarter surge Wednesday evening (Feb. 18), pulling away late to secure a 59–55 Conference Carolinas victory over North Greenville at the Harp Recreation & Commencement Center.
Young Harris improved to 18–7 overall and 12–5 in league play, using a dominant final period to erase a second-half deficit and finish the game with control on both ends of the floor.
After a defensive first half, momentum swung in the third quarter before the Mountain Lions answered with their best stretch of the night. Young Harris shot 50 percent in the fourth and leaned on composure, rebounding, and timely scoring to close out the win.
Player of the game is awarded to Kamryn Bates, who led Young Harris with 17 points while adding five rebounds and four steals. Bates delivered key baskets down the stretch and helped anchor the defensive effort that sealed the victory.
