YH Women's Lacrosse Tabbed Third in Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

Greenville, S.C. | The Mountain Lions women's lacrosse team has been picked to finish third in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. 

Young Harris, under the direction of head coach Christine Hatton, will aim to improve on their 2025 campaign which saw the Mountain Lions finish with an 11-7 record and a trip to the semifinals in the Conference Carolinas Tournament. YH looks to improve their preseason standing after being selected third with 81 points. Belmont Abbey was picked to win the conference with 96 points and six first-place votes in the preseason poll. 

Players to Watch: 

The Mountain Lions 2026 players to watch features three standout players to keep an eye on this season. Junior attacker Megan Magill, from Center Moriches, New York, joins Young Harris as a promising third-year transfer. Riley Parker, a junior attacker from Woodstock, Georgia, returns for the Mountain Lions after a stellar 2025 season which featured 2025 first-team All-Conference Carolinas honors and a team leading 63 goals on the season. Mary Troyer, a senior midfielder from Johns Creek, Georgia will bring experience and a spark on both sides of the field after earning third team All-Conference Carolinas honors in the 2025 season. 

The 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship will begin with quarterfinals games on April 20th at campus sites, with the semifinals and final set to take place at Young Harris College from April 23-25. The Mountain Lions will aim to defend their home turf in the Conference Carolinas semifinals and championship game.
