Mountain Lions Women’s Golf Places Seventh at King Invitational

KING INVITATIONAL RESULTS

BRISTOL, Tenn. |
The Young Harris College women's golf team finished seventh overall at the King Invitational, held at the Golf Club of Bristol. The Mountain Lions posted a two-round team score of 658, carding rounds of 326 and 332 on the par-71 course.

INSIDE THE SCORE CARD:

  • Junior Tamara Brito led the way for Young Harris, finishing 17th in the individual standings with a total score of 158 (+16). Brito opened with a 77 (+6) before closing with an 81 (+10). 

  • Avery Cauwels placed 26th with a score of 165 (+23), shooting rounds of 81 (+10) and 84 (+13). 

  • Lucy Wiegert followed closely in 27th place, carding 167 (+25) with rounds of 84 (+13) and 83 (+12). 

  • Anna Moore finished tied for 29th at 168 (+26), posting consistent rounds of 84 (+13) and 84 (+13). 

  • Abbie Arthur rounded out the Mountain Lions' lineup in 39th place with a score of 176 (+34), shooting 91 (+20) and 85 (+14).

Young Harris continues their fall non-championship season on Sunday (Oct. 5) at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational in Owensboro, Kentucky.
