BREVARD, N.C. | The Young Harris College men's and women's cross country teams competed Friday (Sept. 19) evening at the 19th Brevard XC Classic in Brevard, North Carolina.
Men's Results (8K):
Young Harris placed 9th out of 15 teams
Quote from Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Matt Logan:
"We wanted to give the men who didn't compete at the Southern Showcase a chance to run a fast 8K. We had some solid performances and the fact that we were so competitive as a team speaks to our depth on the men's side."
Women's Results (5K):
Young Harris placed 14th out of 14 teams
Quote from Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Matt Logan:
"Most of these women were either coming off injury or are middle distance ladies who were competing just for some extra work. Julia is working her way back after being our number 1 runner last year. I expect her to keep improving. I also thought Thaman competed hard and I think she has a really bright future."
