GREENVILLE, S.C. | As the Mountain Lions men's tennis team gears up for postseason play, they do so with a rising star leading the charge. Freshman Noah Pawirodirjo has been recognized by Conference Carolinas with a Third Team All-Conference selection following an impressive debut season for Young Harris College. The Netherlands native showed flashes of elite talent throughout the spring, earning national recognition as a top-25 ranked doubles player earlier in the year and becoming a cornerstone of the Mountain Lions' lineup.
Pawirodirjo compiled a 7-12 singles record, going 4-5 in conference play, and consistently held his own against the league's top competition. His all-court versatility and composed shot selection made him a reliable presence in both singles and doubles action, often matching up with opponents' top pairings. As the Mountain Lions (6-15 overall, 4-5 Conference Carolinas) enter the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament this evening at 5:30 p.m. in Sumter, South Carolina, Pawirodirjo's emergence signals a bright future for the program and a strong foundation to build on moving forward.
