YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris Baseball team battled the Chargers of The University of Alabama in Huntsville on Tuesday (Apr. 15) night at The Zell. The Mountain Lions' offense was firing on all cylinders against UAH, with Kyle Chatham and Kade Smallwood leading the way.  

YH Baseball improved to 31-12 overall, while UAH fell to 19-23 overall. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• The Chargers struck first in the second inning, with Ramie Harrison driving in the first run. 

• Brady Caloway entered the game in the third inning with bases loaded and one out; YH was able to get out of the top half of the third inning without surrendering a run. 

• UAH added a run in the fourth inning to claim a 2-0 lead over YH. 

• In the bottom half of the fourth inning, the Mountain Lions stormed back to tie the game. Kyle Chatham and Kade Smallwood each drove in a run. 

• Drew Bray broke the tie in the fifth inning depositing an RBI single into right field. 

• Young Harris broke the game open after the seventh inning stretch concluded, hanging a four spot on The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Chatham, Luke Hatcher, Smallwood, and Jonny Smith recorded RBI knocks in that order. 

• YH held onto their 7-2 lead for the remainder of the game, with Matthew Pearce pitching the eighth inning and Ryan Cross throwing the ninth to close out the win. 

• Brady Caloway earned the win on the mound for the Mountain Lions in 2.2 innings of relief. 

• Kyle Chatham earned the player of the game nod, going 3-4 at the plate, while driving in two YH runs.
