YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions hosted the Tusculum University Pioneers on April 1 but fell just short in a hard-fought 7-5 battle. Young Harris held a tense 3-3 standoff with the Pioneers in the sixth inning, but Tusculum broke the tie in the ninth with a clutch two-run double from Morton. The Mountain Lions now hold a 24-10 record, while Tusculum improves to 14-20. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:   

• Jack Enrico's deep sac fly put Young Harris up 1-0 in the second. 

• Luke Hatcher crushed a solo homer in the third, making it 2-0. 

• Tusculum's Sawyer Pace hit an RBI single in the fourth, cutting the lead to 2-1. 

• Enrico launched a solo shot in the fifth to extend Young Harris' lead to 3-1. 

• Tusculum tied the game 3-3 in the sixth with Max Schmarder's RBI double and a double play. 

• In the ninth, Tusculum's Jude Morton delivered a two-run double, putting the Pioneers ahead 5-3. 

• Tusculum added two more runs with Anthony Cobb's RBI single and Smith's sac fly, making it 7-3. 

• Enrico and Carlos Martans hit late sac flies for Young Harris, closing the gap to 7-5, but Tusculum held on for the win.
