YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Congratulations to Annalise Malone on winning Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Year! 

This winter, the Mountain Lions enjoyed one of their best seasons in program history, finishing the regular season with a record of 20-8. Young Harris won their final seven games to hit the 20-win mark, before taking down King University in the second round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament. 

Annalise Malone has been the driving factor all season for this YH team, averaging 16.9 points per game. Malone is by far and away the best scorer in the conference, having scored 45 more points than second place, while playing 90 less minutes. Annalise also finished second in Conference Carolinas with 48 three-pointers made and fourth with 155 FG made.  

In totality, Annalise Malone played 847 minutes this season, starting all 29 games. Malone shot .421 from the field, scoring 491 points and collecting 44 assists, while also proving herself on the defensive end; coming down with 185 rebounds (127 DEF), 23 steals, and 10 blocks.  

The Mountain Lions are still dancing, as they traveled to Spartanburg, South Carolina on Wednesday for their Conference Carolinas Tournament matchup against UNC Pembroke Friday (Mar. 7) morning at 11:00 a.m.
