YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's tennis team kicked off Conference Carolinas action with a strong 5-2 win over Converse University at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
With the victory, the Mountain Lions improve to 3-4Â on the season.

Young Harris set the tone early by securing the doubles point. Caleb McCurry & Noah Pawirodirjo cruised to a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, while Nills Vercruyssen & Greyson Williams edged out a 7-6 thriller at No. 3 to give the Mountain Lions the early advantage.
Carrying that momentum into singles play, Young Harris claimed four of the six matchups to seal the team win.
- Noah Pawirodirjo (#1) battled through three sets, emerging with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 victory.
- Caleb McCurry (#2) delivered a steady performance, taking a 7-5, 6-4 straight-set win.
- Mason Harmon (#4) rebounded after dropping the second set to claim a 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 victory.
- Gregor Gottein (#6) dominated from start to finish, securing a commanding 6-3, 6-2 win.
Converse picked up wins in the No. 3 and No. 5 singles spots, but the Mountain Lions' depth proved too strong.
