YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's soccer team was well represented in the 2025 Conference Carolinas All-Conference selections, with three standout student-athletes earning recognition for their exceptional performances this season. Freshman forward Scarlett Hirschy and senior midfielder Sunny Bowlin-Stacy were both named to the All-Conference First Team, while senior defender Emily Brennaman earned a spot on the All-Conference Third Team. Head coach Avram Allen has his players buzzing at the right time, hitting the 10-win mark for the first time in program history.
Hirschy capped off a sensational rookie campaign by earning First Team All-Conference honors and being named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year. The dynamic forward led the league in both goals (13) and shots on goal (35), while her 28 total points ranked third in the conference. She also tallied three game-winning goals, including a memorable hat trick against Emmanuel on October 1. Hirschy's breakout season began with a bang, as she was named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for September, scoring five goals and earning Mountain Lion of the Week honors twice during that span.
Joining her on the First Team is senior Sunny Bowlin-Stacy, who provided veteran leadership and consistent offensive firepower throughout the season. Bowlin-Stacy appeared in just 13 matches, starting 12, and finished the year with 11 goals and seven assists, totaling 29 points, the highest mark on the team. Her four game-winning goals were among the best in the league, and her ability to create and finish scoring opportunities made her a constant threat in the midfield. Her efforts were recognized with two Mountain Lion of the Week honors during the season.
Rounding out the Mountain Lions' honorees is senior defender Emily Brennaman, who earned Third Team All-Conference recognition. A stalwart on the back line, Brennaman has started all 18 matches and logged an impressive 1,486 minutes on the pitch. Her leadership and defensive prowess were instrumental in anchoring the Young Harris backline, while she also contributed offensively with three assists. Her consistency and work rate made her one of the most dependable defenders in the league.
The Mountain Lions season continues into the postseason, as they take on Emmanuel University on the road in the Conference Carolinas Tournament Quarterfinals (Nov. 8). Coach Allen spoke on his three All-Conference players, "I'm proud of these three. They've most definitely earned this recognition. They've consistently performed at a high level throughout the entire season."
