YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College outside hitter Abby Schirm has been named to the Conference Carolinas Second Team, capping off a standout season that placed her among the nation's elite in NCAA Division II volleyball.
Schirm finished the year with 410 kills, ranking in the top 20 nationally across all Division II programs. Her offensive consistency powered the Mountain Lions throughout the season, as she appeared in 113 sets and posted a .196 hitting percentage on 1,244 total attacks. She also contributed 37 assists, 28 service aces, and 366 digs, showcasing her versatility on both sides of the court.
Defensively, Schirm added 26 total blocks and was a reliable presence in serve receive, while her 455.5 total points underscore her impact as one of the most productive players in the league.
