YOUNG HARRIS, GA| Young Harris Women's Soccer midfielder Scarlett Hirschy has been named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for the month of September. Scarlett ignited the Young Harris offense for the month of September, scoring five goals and adding one game winning goal. Hirschy tallied both goals as well as the game winner in the Mountain Lions 2-1 win over Lees-McRae before adding another goal in the 5-2 win over Chowan. Scarlett finished off the month scoring two goals as well as the equalizer in the final three minutes against Belmont Abbey to push the game to a 3-3 draw. 

Over the course of the month, Hirschy collected 19 shots to go along with 12 shots on goal. Since the beginning of conference play Scarlett has recorded all five of her goals and pushed the Mountain Lions to a 2-1-2 conference record over the month. Over the month of September, Young Harris Women's Soccer posted a 3-3-2 record and will look to improve on their win total heading into October.
