YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's soccer program continues to make history, as two Mountain Lions earned spots on the 2025 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region teams. Senior midfielder Sunny Bowlin-Stacy was named to the First Team, while freshman forward Scarlett Hirschy secured a place on the Second Team following standout seasons that helped propel YHC to a program-record 11 wins and a berth in the Conference Carolinas Semifinals.
Bowlin-Stacy capped off her senior campaign in spectacular fashion, leading the Mountain Lions in total points with 33 and tying Hirschy for the team lead in goals scored (13) despite appearing in only 15 matches. Her offensive versatility was on full display, adding seven assists. Bowlin-Stacy's ability to control the midfield and create scoring opportunities earned her Conference Carolinas First Team honors earlier this month. She finished the season with a .241 shot percentage and a .611 shots-on-goal percentage, proving to be one of the most efficient attackers in the league.
Hirschy, meanwhile, made an immediate impact in her freshman season, earning Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors before adding this regional accolade to her résumé. The dynamic forward matched Bowlin-Stacy with 13 goals, while adding two assists for 28 points. Hirschy led the league in shots on goal (35) and ranked among the top scorers in the conference. Her clutch performances included three game-winning goals, showcasing her ability to deliver in high-pressure moments.
Head coach Avram Allen's squad continues to raise the bar, with these individual honors highlighting a season of firsts for the Mountain Lions. With Bowlin-Stacy closing out her career on a high note and Hirschy emerging as one of the region's brightest young stars, the future looks promising for YHC women's soccer.
