YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College senior midfielder Sunny Bowlin-Stacy has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America Third Team, becoming the first Mountain Lions women's soccer player in program history to earn this prestigious honor.
Bowlin-Stacy, a native of Anchorage, Alaska, capped off an incredible senior season by leading the Mountain Lions with 13 goals and seven assists for 33 points across 15 matches. She posted a .241 shooting percentage and recorded 33 shots on goal, five of which were game-winners. Bowlin-Stacy logged 1,098 minutes on the pitch and was instrumental in guiding Young Harris to an 11-6-3 overall record and a berth in the Conference Carolinas Tournament Semifinals.
Her standout year also included selections to the Conference Carolinas First Team and the D2CCA All-Southeast Region First Team, solidifying her status as one of the top players in the region and nationally.
Head coach Avram Allen expressed his pride in Bowlin-Stacy's achievement:

She is a player that embodies an all-American mentality, and to see her be rewarded for it… Wow! What an honor. Bowlin-Stacy's recognition places her among an elite group of 39 student-athletes across the three D2CCA All-America teams, representing 31 institutions nationwide. The All-America selections were determined by athletic communication professionals from NCAA Division II schools and conferences. The process began at the regional level, with all first-team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot.

This honor marks a milestone for Young Harris College women's soccer, as Bowlin-Stacy becomes the first player in program history to earn D2CCA All-America status. Her leadership and performance have set a new standard for excellence within the Mountain Lions program.
