Browns Summit, N.C. | The No. 5 seed Young Harris College women's soccer team wrapped up its 2025 season Friday (Nov. 14) afternoon with a 3-1 loss to No. 1 seed Francis Marion University in the Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinals.
Francis Marion struck early, taking a 1-0 lead just two minutes into the match on a goal from Tehya Dave. The Patriots extended their advantage in the second half with goals from Alana Hunt in the 50th minute and Cora Lepper in the 62nd minute.
The Mountain Lions fought back as Sunny Bowlin-Stacy netted her team-leading 13th goal of the season in the 68th minute, finishing a pass from Aslaug Bratheim to cut the deficit to 3-1. Despite a strong push late, YHC couldn't find another breakthrough.
Young Harris concludes its season with a semifinal appearance in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, marking a strong finish for the program and building momentum for next year.
