Young Harris, Ga. | The spirit of competition and camaraderie will be on full display as Young Harris College hosts the YHC Alumni & Community Pro-Am, part of the Enchanted Valley Tennis Challenge, at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, October 17 at 6:00 p.m. with the Pro-Am Potluck Social, a casual gathering where participants, alumni, and community members are invited to bring a dish to share. YHC will provide beer, wine, and other beverages, creating a relaxed atmosphere for reconnecting with old friends and meeting current members of the Mountain Lions tennis program.
The main event takes place on Saturday, October 18, with an all-day Pro-Am tournament that pairs alumni and community members with current YHC tennis players. The format features short-set, tournament-style matches, offering a fun and competitive experience for players of all skill levels. Whether you're a former collegiate athlete or just enjoy tennis, the Pro-Am promises a day full of energy, sportsmanship, and fun.
In addition to the on-court action, attendees can enjoy refreshments throughout the day, with beer, wine, and drinks once again provided by YHC. Plans are also in the works to bring in local food trucks or vendors, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Participation in the Pro-Am is open to all alumni and community members for a $50 registration fee, which includes entry into the tournament and access to all social events.
The YHC Alumni & Community Pro-Am is more than just a tennis tournament; it's a celebration of connection, tradition, and the enduring Mountain Lion spirit.
