Greenville, S.C. | The Young Harris College women's lacrosse team has been picked to finish third in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll.  

The Mountain Lions, under the leadership of head coach Christine Hatton, are aiming to improve their 12-8 overall record from last season that included a trip to the Conference Carolinas Championship game. YHC looks to improve their standing after being selected third in the preseason poll with 79 points. Mount Olive was picked to win the conference with 100 points and ten first-place votes.  

Players to Watch:
The 2025 Young Harris College women's lacrosse team boasts several standout players to keep an eye on this season. Senior attacker Ashlyn Fraley from Marietta, Georgia, brings a wealth of experience after earning Second Team All-Conference honors and the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award. Junior midfielder Mary Troyer, hailing from Johns Creek, Georgia, also earned Second Team All-Conference recognition and will continue to be a key presence in the midfield. Freshman midfielder Addy Heiser from Greer, South Carolina, joins the team with high expectations, adding depth and talent to the squad as she begins her collegiate career. 

The 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship will begin with quarterfinal games on April 22 at campus sites, with the semifinals and final set to take place at the University of Mount Olive in North Carolina from April 25-27.
