SPARTANBURG, S.C.| Young Harris completed the come from behind victory this weekend beating Converse 4-3.
Mason Harmon won the decisive match (7-5, 0-6, and 7-5). The Mountain Lions move to 10-5 overall and remain undefeated in conference play with five wins.
QUOTING HEAD COACH MARCY O'CONNOR:
Converse came out strong and took the doubles point. It all came down to the final match and
Mason Harmon won it in a tough third set to clinch the match for us. Every singles line was a hard-fought battle, but we were able to complete the comeback today."
O'Connor added, "I am really proud of how the team played with so much heart and grit. They believed in each other, and their hard work, and it showed on the court today."
INSIDE THE SCORE SHEET:
- Converse took the point in doubles, winning two of the three matches.
- The Mountain Lions won the first two singles matches to take the 2-1 lead. Converse responded with two singles wins to give them the 3-2 advantage.
- Young Harris had to win the final two singles matches, and they didn't shy away from the challenge. Hemang Gaur won his match in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) which set up the winner take all singles match between Mason Harmon and Leopold Morel.
- Harmon took the opening set 7-5 for YHC. Morel made the adjustment for Converse and cruised to the 6-0 set two victory. In the final set, Mason gritted out the 7-5 victory which sealed the match for the Mountain Lions.

- The Mountain Lions remain on the road for a Tuesday match at 2:00 p.m. against North Greenville University.
