Greenville, S.C. | Five Mountain Lions earned Conference Carolinas All-Conference honors announced Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Midfielder
Ella Hancock garnered First Team All-Conference Carolinas honors. Ella leads the team and is sixth in the conference with 81 points. This season, she scored 52 goals and tacked on 29 assists. Hancock is the mainstay in the draw circle for the Mountain Lions and is third in the conference with 55 draw controls in Conference Carolinas play.
Ashlyn Fraley,
Belle Hardwick,
Mary Troyer, and Gwen Gibbons all earned Second Team All-Conference honors.
Fraley leads the team in goals this season, scoring 56. She is sixth in the conference in goals per game (3.40) and 16
th in points per game (4.00).
Hardwick has been a force all season. She has 48 goals, 28 assists, and 76 points. Belle had a fantastic game against Lees McRae where she netted four goals and added six assists. She carried that momentum into the conference tournament, netting four goals and tallying two assists to help Young Harris beat Converse and move on to the semifinals.
Hardwick is eighth in the conference in assists per game (2.10) and points per game (4.70).
Mary Troyer is a core defender for Young Harris. She has won 50 draw controls this season, caused 20 turnovers, and scooped up 42 ground balls. Troyer is eleventh in the conference in caused turnovers per game, forcing 1.40.
On the other side of the ball, Troyer has found the back of the net seven times and has four assists which gives her 11 points.
Gwenyth Gibbons is third on the team in ground balls collecting 36. Additionally, she has 11 caused turnovers and one goal on two shots. Gwen's 2.33 ground balls per game is ranked 14
th in the conference.
The Mountain Lions play in the Semifinals of the conference tournament on Thursday against Belmont Abbey at 3:00 p.m. The winner advances to the Championship game on Saturday.
