TIGERVILLE, S.C. | Young Harris College women's lacrosse secured their fourth straight victory, beating North Greenville University 22-12. The Mountain Lions used a seven goal third quarter to pull away from the Crusaders.
Ella Hancock had a great game. She scored seven goals, added an assist, and earned seven draw controls.

- With the win, Young Harris moves to 9-7 overall and 6-2 in Conference Carolinas. North Greenville drops to 4-13 overall and 3-6 in Conference Carolinas.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- North Greenville struck first, three minutes into the game. Emma Mayew found the back of the net to put the Crusaders up 1-0. Then, Ella Hancock caught a pass from Kinsley Purser and launched it into the back of the net for the Mountain Lions to tie the game at one.
- Both sides traded goals and in the last four minutes of the quarter Emily Zambrano notched two goals for the Crusaders. At the end of the first frame, North Greenville held the 5-4 advantage.
- After giving up the opening goal of the second quarter, Young Harris responded netting four straight to take the 8-6 lead, their first of the game. North Greenville fought back. Mayew tallied her fourth of the day, which knotted the game up at eight.
- Belle Hardwick and Ally Cattoni scored to end the quarter. After a gritty half, Young Harris clung to a 11-10 lead.
- Young Harris owned the third quarter. The Mountain Lions scored seven straight to take the 18 to 10 advantage going into the final fifteen minutes.
- Ella Hancock, Ashlyn Fraley, and Belle Hardwick quickly put three on the board for Young Harris. The referees awarded Ruthie Mandell a free position shot, with 8:29 to go in the quarter. She stepped up and buried it in the back of the net. Mandell's tally put Young Haris up 15-10. Emily Flynt slotted one home and two more goals from the Mountain Lions wrapped up a dominant third quarter.
- The Crusaders would score two in the final frame, but it wasn't enough for a comeback. Young Harris continued to find the back of the net and walked away from Pepsi Stadium with the 22-12 win.

- The Mountain Lions Return home for Senior Day next Thursday at 4:00 p.m. against Lees-McRae College. Young Harris will honor the great work and accomplishments of eight seniors.
