Newberry, SC| YHC took to the road and faced off against the University of Mount Olive Trojans on Friday (Mar. 29) afternoon. The Mountain Lions battled hard, but the Trojans, who are undefeated in Conference Carolinas games, jumped out to an early 4-0 lead at the end of the first period, and led 9-1 by halftime; UMO did not turn back and took down YHC by a score of 15-4.
The Mountain Lions fall to 5-7 overall and an even 2-2 in Conference Carolinas play. The Trojans rose to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play. YHC returns to action on Saturday (Mar. 30) afternoon in Murfreesboro, North Carolina where they take on Chowan University.

Ella Hancock scored two goals for Young Harris and picked up an assist for three total points in the loss.

Ashlyn Fraley and Belle Hardwick each scored a goal for the Mountain Lions, and Hardwick finished with two total points.

Bria Hamilton of UMO scored five goals on five shots and Lena DeFilippo scored four goals on four shots for the Trojans.

The Trojans outshot the Mountain Lions 33 to 16, with 26 SOG to 10.
