Murfreesboro, NC| The YHC women's lacrosse team played their second straight road game in as many days on Saturday (Mar. 30) afternoon against Chowan University. The Mountain Lions pulled a full 180 from yesterday's game, utterly dominating the Hawks; at the end of the first half, Young Harris was up 9-3, as the game weathered on, YHC continued to maintain a steady lead, before blowing the top off Chowan University, netting seven goals in the fourth quarter to win 20-8.
Young Harris moves to 6-7 overall this season and a 3-2 record against Conference Carolinas opponents. Chowan University falls to 5-4 overall and 2-3 in conference games. The Mountain Lions return to action on Saturday (Apr. 6) at 4 p.m., where they take on Converse University in Young Harris at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

Kinsley Purser and Ella Hancock each recorded four points, with the former scoring four goals and the latter netting three goals and picking up an assist.

Emily Flynt and Ruthie Mandell each scored three points for YHC.

Abbie Gallagher saved seven shots on goal and gave up five goals for a .583 save percentage, and McKenna Graf saved one SOG and gave up three goals for the Mountain Lions.
