TIGERVILLE, SC| The Mountain Lions lost a close one to tough conference opponent, North Greenville (Mar 29th). The final score was 5-6 in favor of the Crusaders. After a 5-1 lead in the seventh, the Crusader bats got hot to secure the go-ahead run in the eighth.
The Mountain Lions move to 25-7 overall and are 12-4 in Conference Carolinas. The Crusaders move to 24-7 overall and are 12-4 in Conference Carolinas. YHC will take on the Crusaders in a double-header tomorrow (Mar 30th). First pitches are scheduled for 12PM and 2:30PM.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
· Ethan Stamps got things going for the Mountain Lions in the top of the third with a three-run HR to left center.
· NGU's Kaleb Hall singled up the middle to put the score at 3-1 heading into the fourth.
· In the top of the seventh, YHC extended their lead. Jarret Ford scored on a wild pitch and Steven Spell (1-2) hit a SAC fly to go up 5-1.
· Kaleb Hall created some momentum again for the Crusaders after he homered to left field to bring in two. The score moved to 5-3.
· NGU had a huge eighth inning. Bryce Roddey, Brett Blomquist, and David Lewis recorded RBIs to lead by one heading into the ninth. Young Harris trailed 5-6.
· Zach Murray gave up one run and recorded six strikeouts after six IP.
· The Crusaders had 13 hits to the Mountain Lions' six.
