Banner Elk, NC| The Mountain Lions men's tennis team took on the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College on Monday (March 25th) afternoon on the road. Young Harris was down 3-0, after losing two of three doubles matches and their first two singles matches, before they fought back tooth and nail. The Mountain Lions won four singles matches in a row to claim a 4-3 win over the Bobcats. 

Young Harris advances to 6-6 overall this season, and Lees McRae drops to 5-7 overall on the season. The Mountain Lions return to action on Thursday (March 28th) in Young Harris, where they take on the Lions from Emmanuel University. 

INSIDE THE SCORE SHEET: 

• In doubles matches, the Bobcats won the first two to earn a point over the Mountain Lions, but YHC won one doubles match (6-4) with the pairing of Jamie Bixby and Hemang Gaur. 

• Caleb McCurry (7-5, 5-7, and 6-4), Mason Harmon (6-2 and 7-6), Eric DelValle (6-4 and 6-2) each won singles matches for Young Harris College to tie things up with Lees-McRae at three points apiece. 

• Hemang Gaur and Hudson Hoskins faced off in the final singles match of the day, with the winning team hanging in the balance; when the smoke cleared, it was Gaur who came in clutch for the Mountain Lions, winning the singles match (6-4 and 6-0).
