Florence, SC| Young Harris won both games of their doubleheader yesterday and played game three on Monday (Mar. 25) afternoon. YHC dominated offensively once again, putting up 11 runs on the Patriots from Francis Marion University. The Mountain Lions pitching staff struck out eleven FMU hitters to keep the Patriots at bay for most of the game.
The Mountain Lions improved to an unprecedented 25-5 overall and are now 12-3 in Conference Carolinas play in year one of the agreement. Francis Marion University dropped to 13-16 overall and 6-9 in conference games. Young Harris returns to action on Wednesday (Mar. 27) when they take on Mars Hill University at 2 p.m. at Zell B. Miller Field in Young Harris, Georgia.

Starting pitcher Zach Hart shoved on the mound for YHC, pitching six innings, recording 10 Ks, and giving up just two runs.

Jeremy Begora blasted two homeruns in the game, moving his total to six HRs and 23 RBIs on the season. Begora went 3-5 at the plate and drove in three YHC runs.

Jarrett Ford went 2-4 from the plate, hitting his third big fly of the year and picked up two RBIs and a SB to boot.

Drew Bray went 4-6 with two doubles and scored two runs for the good guys in purple.

YHC knocked FMU's starting pitcher Jack Hegan out of the game after facing just six batters, the Mountain Lions had already plated three runs and Hegan had only recorded one out.

The Patriots' best performance came from Owen Taylor, who went 2-4 at the plate and drove in a pair of runs for Francis Marion; YHC out-hit FMU 20 to 10 in the matchup.
