YOUNG HARRIS, GA| In game one of the series between the Mountain Lions and the Barton College Bulldogs, the Mountain Lions came out on top with a final score of 7-2 (Mar 10th). Zach Murray had another solid performance on the mound in addition to YHC getting runners on base all afternoon.
The Mountain Lions advance to 16-4 overall and are 6-2 in Conference Carolinas. The Bulldogs move to 16-4 overall and are 3-5 in Conference Carolinas. YHC returns to Zell B. Miller Field tomorrow (Mar 11th) for a double-header against the Bulldogs. First pitches are scheduled for 11AM and 2PM.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
· Barton started things off in the third as Chase Waddell singled up the middle for an RBI.
· Drew Bray answered in the bottom of the third with an RBI single. Bray finished the day 3-5 with two RBIs.
· To advance the score to 4-1, Ethan Stamps (2-3) and Jackson Kemp (1-2) knocked in two runs for the Mountain Lions.
· With runners on in the bottom of the eighth, John McNamee singled through the left side to drive in the Bulldogs' final run of the afternoon.
· Zach Murray picked up his third win of the season after 7.2 IP. Dylan Beck recorded his fourth save of the season, pitching 1.1 innings and shutting the door on the Bulldogs.
