MARS HILL, N.C.| In a non-conference mid-week game, the Mountain Lions fell to the Mars Hill University Lions 3-1 (Feb 27th). Mars Hill jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and YHC struggled to respond at the plate.

The Mountain Lions move to 13-2 overall and are 3-0 in Conference Carolinas. The MHU Lions move to 7-8 overall and are 3-3 in the SAC. YHC heads to Mount Olive University this weekend where they will play a Conference Carolinas double-header on Saturday (Mar 2nd) and the final game of the series on Sunday (Mar 3rd). First pitches on Saturday are scheduled for 12PM and 3PM, followed by 1PM on Sunday.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

· MHU's Carter Potts had an RBI double in the bottom of the first to give the Lions an early 2-0 lead.

· Jackson Kemp (2-4) hit a solo homerun in the seventh inning, his fifth of the year.

· Alex Naran singled to center field for the Lions' third run of the afternoon.
